Aero
UX Design + Mobility System Design
In Art Center College of Design's Future of Mobility class, we envisioned a redesigned e-scooter created to enhance accessibility and seamlessly integrate into daily routines. This concept tackles common challenges, such as abandoned scooters cluttering streets, by prioritizing convenience and usability.

Designing the system of Metro Integration
Research conducted suggests that 66% of commutes in Los Angeles are 5 miles or less.
What is Aero?
Aero is a redesigned e-scooter aimed at improving accessibility and encouraging the integration of scooters into daily routines while addressing common issues like abandoned scooters cluttering streets. By enhancing convenience and usability, Aero supports urban residents in meeting their mobility needs and promotes the use of e-scooters as a seamless complement to public transportation.
Preliminary Research
We interviewed working professionals living in the city(Koreatown) who have ridden e-scooters quite a few times.
Mission Statement
We want to encourage urban residents to use public transportation with e-scooters as an aid in order for users to accomplish their day to day mobility needs in a more convenient way.
Persona
We developed a persona of a working professional young adult in Los Angeles that stemmed from our user interviews.
Physical E-Scooter
We redesigned and modeled a physical e-scooter that would allow users to have an easier and smoother experience. We designed a charging dock station, new handbars, and allowing users to place their phones easily onto the scooter.
Aero App
We created a new app that would allow users to easily book and navigate to e-scooters around them as well as we redesigned a system that would integerate into Metro Tap so that users will turn to our e-scooters as another mean of micro mobility in their day to day commutes.
